Mulan / 暮览 Support

Four reading themes, image brightness controls and individual website settings for Safari on iPhone and iPad.

Enable the extension

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → Mulan. On earlier iOS versions, start at Settings → Safari.
  2. Enable Mulan and allow access to the websites you want to customize.
  3. Return to Safari and reload a regular webpage. Open Mulan from Safari's extension menu to adjust that website.

Appearance and images

Choose Soft Dark, Black, Warm Gray or Paper. Display mode can follow the system, stay on or stay off. Image brightness ranges from 40% to 100%; 100% leaves images unchanged. Only some regular images can be dimmed; background images, videos and canvases are not covered by this control.

If a website looks wrong

Try a different theme or turn Mulan off for that website. Turning it off restores the website's original appearance; it does not force light mode or disable the website's own dark theme. Website compatibility varies. Safari system pages, PDFs and pages without permission are not guaranteed to work. Subdomains have separate settings.

Privacy and terms

Mulan privacy policy. Use of the app is subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. The color engine uses the open-source Dark Reader project under the MIT license. Mulan is an independent app and is not affiliated with the official Dark Reader products.

暮览使用与支持

为 iPhone 和 iPad 上的 Safari 提供四款阅读主题、图片亮度调整和网站独立设置。

启用扩展

  1. 前往「设置 → App → Safari → 扩展 → 暮览」。旧版 iOS 可从「设置 → Safari」进入。
  2. 开启暮览，并授权需要调整的网站。
  3. 返回 Safari，重新载入普通网页，在 Safari 扩展菜单中打开暮览，调整当前网站。

配色与图片

可选柔黑、纯黑、暖灰、纸色四款主题；显示方式可跟随系统、始终开启或始终关闭。图片亮度范围为 40%–100%，100% 保留原图。仅支持调暗部分普通图片，不涵盖背景图、视频和画布。

网页显示异常

可以更换主题，或为该网站关闭暮览。关闭后恢复网站原样，不会强制浅色，也不会关闭网站自己的深色模式。不同网站的兼容性有差异；Safari 系统页面、PDF 和未授权网页不保证支持。不同子域名分别保存设置。
